![]() ![]() Nate: Favorite all-time Madden player to have was/is?ĭritsch: Mack Jackson, MLB madden generated from 10yrs agoĭritsch: Couldn’t stay away from the real one Nate: Team most concerned about in the NFC?ĭritsch: Seahawks, guy won 4 SB’s I believe. Just give me the first word or phrase that comes to mind when I say thing such as, “NFC South”. Nate: Each week, coach, we like to wrap up the show with a little word association. Nate: What is success for the Atlanta Falcons in Season 80?ĭritsch: Play in the conference championship and be setup with capital for the draft. If I don’t hold back and play too safe, I’ll put up points. ![]() Nate: Biggest concern as you continue on for the rest of Season 80?ĭritsch: Don’t get too conservative on offense. Biggest surprise is how amazing great players play Julio, Deion, Trufant, etc. Nate: Biggest surprise about this team after taking them over?ĭritsch: It’s been rare in my Madden career to have such an OOB team, almost feel guilty. They can cover, but once engaged, they’re not getting off too quickly. I definitely need to work on getting the block shed up for my LB’s. Secondary is playing lights out, no matter the coverage call, and the dline is now starting to get pressure. Nate: What will it take to clean up some of the yards issue that your defense is giving up, but continue the points success that they have found?ĭritsch: Not sure if there is much else I can do. The guy covers like a CB which is priceless from a LB in madden. I’ve always moved back and forth from usering dline to MLB, but I really want to let him do his thing. How good has D’Bo Jones been for you at Middle Linebacker?ĭritsch: Best LB I’ve had besides Patrick Willis and madden generated phenom Mack Jackson (going waaaay back in OMFL). Nate: Let’s turn the corner a little bit and talk about your defense. I’ve noticed a lot of 8 in the box once the run game gets going, just begging for a Julio or Martavis deep ball. Nate: What are the expectations from this offense in order for you to continue to be atop of the NFC and NFC South?ĭritsch: Continue to be unpredictable. Have him backing up Coleman now who just came back. But the emergency free agent pickup RB Ware, he’s been amazing. Had a couple huge plays to seal games for me. Both my stud RB’s went down quickly so he stepped in. Nate: Ito Smith – Where did you find this kid and how good has he been for you in a short period of time?ĭritsch: He’s a rook that was drafted in April. I’ve always been run first, but when I have guys like Julio, Ridley, traded for Martavis Bryant, all tall and fast, they’ve bailed me out numerous times. How are you able to get that much production out of a team that isn’t having someone who stands way out of the pack?ĭritsch: Being able to be balanced on offense. Nate: Speaking of passing, there is nothing that really stands out on your offensive side of the ball, yet you boast a top 10 offense. Pairing him with my import, Trufant, Mcduffie, Alford, etc. My mentality is I won’t lose on the ground, and if I can stop guys through the air, I’ll be in great shape. Why?ĭritsch: I’m a sucker for good corners, always have been. Nate: 32 million dollars on a free agent 1-year deal cornerback in DRC. If I’m one dimensional on offense, it’s over for me. What has helped bring the turn-a-round?ĭritsch: Just getting more used to the game, especially the run portion. Nate: Your Falcons started out, from what you said, a little slow out of the block, but you’ve adjusted well. Let’s welcome in this week’s guest, a familiar face to some long time readers of the OMFL Hot Seat – Coach Dritsch of the Atlanta Falcons. Nate: Welcome into the OMFL Hot Seat, where we keep it toast to make them roast-y – that’s right, we are grilling more OMFL coaches today about their team. ![]()
